Part Exchange or Assisted Move?

Two ways to move forward

Both services are designed for customers who have found a new-build home and still have an existing property to sell. The right route depends on whether you prioritise certainty and convenience or the opportunity to market your property on the open market.

Part Exchange

RPP remains the customer's chain-free buyer. Once the Part Exchange is agreed, RPP may look for an onward buyer, and any viewings are arranged through RPP in liaison with the customer. RPP's purchase and the customer's completion are not dependent on an onward buyer being found.

Best suited to customers who

  • Prioritise certainty and convenience
  • Want to remove the property chain
  • Need RPP to assess a possible chain-free route after a failed sale
  • Prefer not to market their home traditionally
  • Want RPP to coordinate any viewings after the Part Exchange is agreed
  • Understand that a Part Exchange offer may differ from the price potentially achievable through a successful open-market sale

Key features

  • Chain-free purchase
  • Any viewings following Part Exchange agreement are arranged by RPP in liaison with the customer
  • Two to three independent local estate-agent valuations
  • Clearly explained written offer
  • Move timing coordinated with the new-home transaction, subject to the agreed arrangements

Assisted Move

Your property is marketed on the open market while RPP helps coordinate the agents, pricing strategy, buyer-position checks and sales progression.

Best suited to customers who

  • Want to pursue an open-market sale
  • Are comfortable with marketing and viewings
  • Want professional support managing the process
  • Need to sell within the developer's agreed timeframe
  • Want RPP to coordinate agents and sales progression

Key features

  • Two to three independent local estate-agent valuations
  • Pricing recommendation informed by valuation and market evidence
  • Two estate agents instructed to market the property once the price is agreed
  • Focus on buyers who appear able to proceed
  • Managed sales progression
  • Plot-hold arrangements subject to developer approval, terms and availability

Still unsure?
